The laces are stretchy, but there is no need to untie them. Just tie the laces in the most comfortable position and leave them there; the boots will still just slip right on. So much easier than bending over for old folks like me to put on AND to take off. Completely waterproof. They do run a little wide, but that is good for heavy socks in cold weather.

Slip on feature works, it would be good too say without the laces tied.

I was so pleased to learn that Sketchers had introduced boots in the Slip In line. I have 2 other pair of Slip In shoes and LOVE them. I badly needed something for the winter months as I live in the VERY cold and snowy part of FAR upper NY state. NOT having to bend over to lace up boots is a HUGE plus and these are the PERFECT thing.
